Granite is a porous material and because of this it needs to be sealed. This will prevent any liquids or chemicals from getting into the granite. It is recommend to seal your countertops every year. Sealing your tops will also help retain their shine and durability.
DURABLE AND STRONG
Granite is a very strong and durable material. It will not melt. You can place hot cookware directly on your countertop. If sealed properly, granite is also stain proof. You can use knives and other sharp objects directly on the top, however you have to be careful with not dropping anything heavy on the granite because there is a possibility of chipping.
